29th ENETOSH Network Meeting - December 10, 2024

On 10th December 2024, a joint event of ENETOSH with the Centre for Applied Health Sciences (ZAG) at the Leuphana University Lüneburg and UNESCO Chair Global Health & Education will be held online.
The digitalization of education and training brings significant opportunities but also raises concerns about the safety, health, and well-being of both learners and educators.
This 29th ENETOSH Network Meeting will address these themes in two focused sessions.

New Member of ENETOSH

We are glad to welcome a new member to our network: UL Research lnstitutes and UL Standards and Engagement from the Unites States of America. The ENETOSH network now has 114 Members from 38 countries worldwide.
UL Research Institutes is a leading independent safety science organization with global reach and senses and acts on risks to public safety with bold hypotheses and objective investigations.

New website is online

The Good Healthy Schools Initiative (GHSI), a three-year international project aimed at integrating health into the educational framework to create thriving school environments for better educational outcomes, has launched a new website.

The GHSI sees health as both a driver and a resource for education in schools. The vision is to develop schools where health is woven into every aspect of their school quality framework to create a good school that supports their educational quality.

Good Healthy Schools Initiative (GHSI)

The Good Healthy Schools Initiative (GHSI), led by Prof Peter Paulus from Leuphana University Lüneburg, Germany, is looking for relevant decision-makers who are responsible for national health projects in schools in Europe and abroad.

New Report by EU-OSHA

A new report on Artificial intelligence and education by Dr Ulrike Bollmann has been released by the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA).

This report examines the opportunities and risks associated with the integration of new digital technologies for the health, safety and wellbeing of teachers in schools. This is viewed both from the perspective of occupational safety and health (OSH) and a pedagogical perspective.

We have a new topic "OSH impact of digitalisation in education". This collection of good practice examples shows the impact that various forms of digitalisation can have on safety and health in education and training. Another topic deals with “Digital teaching and learning” in general.

The ENETOSH network is currently not far away from its 20th (!) anniversary. It all started in 2005, and part of the process has always been the collection of examples of good practice. To guarantee the quality of this collection and the content of the website as well, an Editorial Committee was elected, and the editor of the ENETOSH web platform sent a report to this commitee regularly.
Now, end of August 2024, he sent his 100th Report to the Committee!

We are glad to announce another new member of our network: Association d'assurance accident (AAA), a public institution responsible for the prevention of and compensation for work-related accidents, commuting accidents and occupational diseases from Luxembourg. The ENETOSH network now has 113 Members from 38 countries worldwide.

We are glad to announce a new member of our network: BRAMOSH GLOBAL INSTITUTE, an online platform offering globally recognized training and qualifications in the HSE field, from India. The ENETOSH network now has 112 Members from 37 countries worldwide.
