Education and Training, Work and Health are becoming more and more international. In schools, the number of children with a migration background rises, one out of every twelve self-employed in Germany has a non-German passport. Enterprises are increasingly active internationally and in many areas, working in multiethnic teams is common.
On the basis of these considerations, cross-cultural competence and intercultural dialogue in Work and Health are becoming more and more important.
What influences do cultural and ethnic backgrounds have on conditions of work? How do different cultural and ethnic backgrounds influence behaviour at work? How can education and training cope with the modified requirements that derive, for example, from the different mother tongues and cultural backgrounds? How can education and training in health and safety take into account the cultural diversity of e.g. students and employees with a migration background?
In the focus of this year´s Training & Innovation are the areas of the company, the school and Train-the-Trainer programmes and institutions.
