A subsequent needs assessment among 223 experts from the field confirmed the need for a Master’s degree combining research and practical training. The course is supposed to especially support the Latin American countries in the area of Occupational Safety and Health.
It is a two-year part-time Master’s program (60 ECTS) and leads to a graduation with a “Master of Science (MSc)“ from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich. Working languages are Spanish and English.
The Master’s program offers an international and interdisciplinary education in global Occupational Safety and Health with a focus on project-based learning. In order to ensure maximum flexibility and efficiency, the Master’s program is based on blended learning techniques. These combine three short-term modules with compulsory attendance in Latin America and in Munich, Germany, research project work, during which students receive support from local tutors as well as online courses with online discussions, case-based e-learning, etc., and a master thesis.
