In Lennart Levi, we have lost an outstanding personality, a backward and forward thinker and a warm-hearted person who never ceased to realise his goals to the very end.
One of his life's goals was to integrate the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals into higher education: "To optimise the likelihood of success, higher education institutions worldwide must teach and train todays and tomorrows decision makers - to think both critically and ethically, to learn to cope with ethical dilemmas and apply systems-thinking approaches to serious and complex societal problems" - said Lennart in his editorial for ENETOSH Newsletter No. 18.
With his workshop on SDG 8 at the conference on "Rethinking Higher Education, Inspired by the Sustainable Development Goals" on 30 March 2019 in Stockholm, he provided the impetus for a project to integrate SDG 8 into higher education, which was carried out with his support under the leadership of Prof em Johannes Siegrist and Dr Ulrike Bollmann from 2020 to 2022.
We owe Lennart a great deal and will not forget him.
