Ergohair
The new project “Ergohair” has been approved, with EU funding for the European Social Dialogue. Lead applicant is the Belgian employers' federation UBK. The University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, Germany and A.G2R La Mondiale, France are partners in the project. Coiffure EU and Uni Europe are associate organisations.
The project focuses on ergonomics in the hairdressing sector. It is scheduled for 24 months, a first workshop took place in Hamburg in October.
Helpful material on ergonomics and skin protection for hairdressers is already available from the previous project "A close shave". Two manuals for teachers have been developed: "Ergonomics for start-up hairdressers" and "Preventing skin complaints for start-up hairdressers".
In addition, a video has been produced that is available online. For more information, please contact the network of European employers in the hairdressing sector, Coiffure EU.
