The National Safety Council is America’s leading nonprofit safety advocate – and has been for 110 years. As a mission-based organization, nsc works to eliminate the leading causes of preventable death and injury, focusing all efforts on the workplace and roadways. The National Safety Council creates a culture of safety to not only keep people safer at work, but also beyond the workplace so they can live their fullest lives.

Since 1942, individuals are honored for exceptional dedication to safety and health. This year, amongst others, Lester Claravall (Child Labor Officer, Oklahoma Department of Labor) was honored with the Distinguished Service to Safety Award. As Oklahoma’s only full-time child labor officer during the past 25+ years, Lester has made it his life’s work to protect the nation’s youngest workforce against workplace abuse, exploitation, endangerment, and dangerous jobs.

We congratulate Lester, who is a long time supporter and friend of ENETOSH! On the picture you can see Lorraine Martin, NSC President and CEO, congratulating Lester Claravall during the Opening Session on the national stage at the NSC Safety Congress and Expo in New Orleans.
