We are the only UK awarding body to offer a complete suite of accredited health and safety qualifications, from entry level to Level 6 in the Qualifications and Credit Framework, and we continue to be a leading provider of health and safety courses and qualifications both in the UK and internationally.
We lead the field in young worker safety, and are the only organisation to offer free entry level hazard awareness health and safety training to all 14-19 year olds in fulltime education, leading to an accredited qualification. We also offer a Level 1 qualification to those not in education, employment or training. More than 50,000 people have successfully taken part in these programmes to date.
HOW WE WORK
Strategic policy and direction is overseen by 13 trustees headed by our chairman, Lynda Armstrong, and delivered by a senior management team headed by Chief Executive Alex Botha.
We are an awarding body for a range of leading sector qualifications which are nationally accredited and part of the Ofqual framework.
Our non revenue-generating work which includes our schools and NEETs programmes, our young worker campaigns, networking and best practice events, is supported by a broad range of revenue-generating activities, including membership, training and qualifications, audits, standards and awards.
