The Saxon Daycare Education Server is an information portal for professionals on all aspects of education, upbringing, and childcare in daycare centers and child day care. For over 20 years, the server has contributed to knowledge transfer and thus to quality assurance for professionals in Saxony.
The information is aimed at:
- Daycare center directors, educators, childminders and specialist advisors in Saxony
- independent and municipal providers
- the administration, especially the local youth welfare offices
- Interest groups, associations and institutions dealing with the topics of early childhood education, upbringing and care
- Teachers, students and trainees at universities and technical colleges
The Saxon Daycare Education Server is co-financed by tax revenue based on the budget approved by the Saxon State Parliament. It is implemented by the Media Culture Center Dresden (Medienkulturzentrum Dresden e.V.). Technical support is provided by an advisory board composed of representatives from the Saxon State Ministry of Culture, the Saxon State Ministry for Social Affairs and Social Cohesion – Saxon State Youth Welfare Office, the Municipal Social Association of Saxony, and representatives from the various providers in Saxony.
