The 3-day "SKTA" seminar constitutes an advanced seminar: all participants have already completed a basic course for safety representatives. The basic course is attended by safety representatives from various businesses insured by the BGW; it cannot therefore deal with the particular features of kindergartens. Kindergarten children are also covered by the statutory accident insurance arrangements. For this reason, childcare professionals frequently focus their attention upon the safety and health of the children, to the detriment of their own safety and health and that of their colleagues. The advanced seminar is intended to address the particular aspects of work in kindergartens. The focus lies upon the safety and health of the childcare professionals, who are to be involved actively in the design and delivery of the seminar. Promotion of the children's safety and health is raised and discussed in two training units on the final day of the seminar.
