The "trafficsafety4you" program was specially developed for 14 to 18 year olds. It comprises four modules, each of which lasts four school hours and is carried out by experienced traffic psychologists in the presence of the class teachers. There is an alcohol module, a drugs and medication module, a distraction module and a tiredness and fitness to drive module in road traffic.
The program is offered nationwide and is free for schools, it is financed by the AUVA. It supplements the previous traffic education offer between voluntary cycling test and driver's license training. The “trafficsafety4you” program addresses road safety from the different perspectives of pedestrians, cyclists, moped drivers, scooter drivers, ...
One module can be booked per school year and class. The modules are designed to be interactive, experiential tasks alternate with multimedia-supported knowledge input, discussion, individual and small group work and guided self-reflection. The respective concerns and questions of the class are specifically addressed.
