The concept of the Active Learning Camp was created during the lockdown phase and under the influence of this period on the development and learning areas of young people. These could be observed in both school and vocational education. The Corona period acted as a trigger and catalyst for the questions posed by the approach. Even without this, the increasing digitization and changes in the living situation of young people would have raised the question of attitudes and responses to the changing relationship between passive information and action experiences.
The Active Learning Camp promotes and reactivates resources for self-regulation by promoting so-called executive functions. Playful methods support students and trainees in experiencing self-efficacy and promote health in a holistic way. The camp also indirectly supports the transition opportunities to professional careers.
