Aims
The project aims to improve knowledge and skills through developing of a distance-learning course in the above-mentioned spectrum of target groups. It is designated to provide for:

- a transnational interest to ensure the quality of education according to the criteria for the certification of qualified persons and specialists in the field of OSH in the EU countries, the aim being to achieve a uniformity of educational systems and their capacity of being interconnected and comparable among the EU or other countries as regards the application of education attained

- development a modular training programme whereas the extension and the depth of individual modules (levels) correspond to the specific needs of the target groups being final users

- an effective dissemination with the aim to give a unique modular training in OSH to Europe, which is the most effective way how to harmonise till now different national approaches and how to support an effective and flexible international communication in the field of OSH. The exchange of knowledge and experience will also facilitate common activities in cases of big disasters and terrorism

- to elaborate dissemination strategy for wide public focused on risk and threat prevention and serving as a place for a flexible discussion, sharing experiences and examples of good practices and serves a better adult education for public.

Short description
A modular training programme available in English (CD, LMS on the Internet) and Czech (CD):
1. Occupational safety and health management in an enterprise
2. Safety of technical equipment
3. Health protection and work hygiene
4. System of safety management and emergency planning
5. Emergency preparedness

The course was produced in 2005. The CD medium (both English and Czech) will have no up-dates. The English Internet version in the LMS will have been up-dated by 2008.

Milestones
An electronic course comprising five interrelated modules divided into at least two levels available in six language versions.

Evaluation
Internal and External Evaluation pertaining to the Quality Management Plan. The project represented part of the potential system of OSH education and therefore it is a contribution to improvement of the existing state of vocational education by extending the range of education possibilities currently offered. In this respect the project also deals with awareness-raising in the field of OSH.

Target groups
OSh specialists, safety engineers and people responsible for occupational health and safety in enterprises/administration, managers at all levels, employers, decision makers and experts from various sectors, a general public, i.e. employees in enterprises, citizens, trade unions, NGOs and generally people interested in risk analysis and prevention.

CD, a guidebook how to operate an ODL course, an internet English version of the course in the LMS.
