The problem is: adolescents with asthma and/or allergies do not consider their disease when making their career choice. 31% of apprenticeship abandonments in Germany that are due to health problems are diseases of skin or respiratory system.
While going through the E- Learning cases, the students learn about occupational health risks. Texts, interesting links, pictures, short videos and different types of questions are integrated in the web pages. Each case tells the story of a young trainee starting his or her vocational training.

The aims are:

• awareness rising for occupational health problems in middle school students and vocational trainees
• demonstrate solutions
• diminish apprenticeship abandonments
• show the coherency of apprenticeship and potential atopic diseases to adolescents before making their carrer aim
• sensitize adolescents for early symtoms
• show aspects of prevention
• thematize occupational safety and health examination for adolescents, duties of the company physician, atopic diseases
• increase knowledge about occupational diseases and therefore strengthen self-reliance for the adolescent's career choice
• prevent abandonments of apprenticeship in the long run

Teachers can use the cases with their classes for free. The schools have been contacted by post mails and phone calls. More than 500 persons have used the cases so far.
