“New Kids on the Job”
BAR U&F Denmark
The first hypothesis of the “apprentice- teaching- OSH- project” is, that courses and education for teachers increase their motivation for teaching OSH.
The next hypothesis is, that teaching OSH will increase the knowledge of the trainees and hereby improve their attitudes to safety and health.
Final hypothesis is, that it is necessary to develop engaging and qualified teaching materials to improve the teaching conditions.
Ny i job is:
Teaching materials for goal oriented education and instruction to change attitudes to occupational safety and health. It promotes and encourages a preventive culture among young workers and their employers.
“New Kids on the Job” is teaching materials addressed to young people in transition between education and job. It also adresses young people, who have just started their working life.
In cooperation with Danish Radio (DR), a couple of short films dealing with OSH problems and risks were produced. These films can be watched online at http://www.dr.dk/nyijob/om.asp.
This project was presented by Susanne Ulk from BAR U&F Denmark at the 7th Training & Innovation, which took place at Dresden, July 2007 - please click here to view the full presentation (PDF file).
