International conference "Integration of health and safety at work into vocational education"

The competition and the conference were supposed to rise awareness for health and safety at the workplace, especially for younger employees.
For commercial success, the state of education is of high importance. In a Europe that is coalescing and extending, international cooperation in health, work safety, work organisation and working standards is becoming more and more important.
Safety competition for apprentices in construction
„Building is team-work “
23th OKTOBER 2006, 9:30 - 13:00
5 multinational teams had to cope 5 different tasks:
- Scaffolding
- Sawing
- PSE
- Ergonomics
- European puzzle
- To promote awareness
- To demonstrate skills
- To exercise teamwork
- To overcome language and communication barriers
The 5 teams each comprised 8 apprentices from Hungary, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Czech Republic, Slowakia and Austria.
So, as building is team-work, it was no competition between different countries, but between the teams "green", "red", "yellow", "orange" and "white".
...and the winner was: Team "red" - Tamás Végh from Hungary, Niko Mavric from Slovenia, Alex Forer from Italy, Christian Mäder from Switzerland, Lukas Grimm from Germany, Ondrej Cerner from Czech Republic, Matúš Golodžej from Slowakia and Thomas Acs from Austria.
