Health promotion has not yet been implemented in Europe in a sufficient manner. For this reason, partners from the fields of health and education in Germany, Italy and Romania have joined forces to support this concept.
The intention of the project is to enable the target groups to acquire competencies and attitudes which will help them to stay healthy. In the web-based learning environment, learning will be understood as an active and constructive process that does however require instructional help and social support. Within a Blended Learning Concept, e-learning, presence learning and other forms and methods of learning will be integrated by means of systematic media use and a step-by-step concept adaptable to individual conditions.

The project team is interdisciplinary and international, consisting of partners from the medical field (dermatology, social medicine) and from the educational field (media education, health education).
Participating countries in the paedimed project are Germany, Italy and Romania.

Germany:
  • University Hospital of Heidelberg, Department of Clinical Social Medicine (coordination)
  • University of Augsburg, Institute of Media and Educational Technology
  • University of Osnabrück; Dermatology, Environmental Medicine and Health Theory
  • Occupational Association of German Dermatologists (BVDD, Bavaria)
Italy:
  • Centro Studi GISED (Gruppo Italiano di Studi Epidemiologici in Dermatologia)
Romania:
