ENETOSH Steering Committee

On 20 April the 11th ENETOSH Steering Committee Meeting took place at the University of Brighton, UK.
The focus of this meeting was on the permission of the updated ENETOSH Strategy framework 3.0 and on the (re-) election of the ENETOSH Steering Committee.
Matthew Holder was confirmed in his role as the chair of the Steering Committee and Nuria Mancebo became the sub-chair. We very much welcome Nuria Mancebo back to the Steering Committee. She had already been a member in the years 2012 until 2015.
Furthermore two new members were elected: Gabriele Pappai, CEO of the German Social Accident Insurance Institution for the public sector in North Rhine-Westphalia and Diana de Sousa Policarpo, Authority for Working Conditions (ACT), Portugal, and leader of the Erasmus+ project MIND SAFETY - SAFETY MATTERS!'
The Steering Committee Meeting was carried out in conjunction with the 21th ENETOSH Network Meeting. In total 31 members from 17 countries participated at the meetings in Brighton.

The 10th meeting of the committee took place on 11 October 2016 in Prague. Topics were: Financing and membership fees, international cooperation, the further development of the strategic framework and the ENETOSH ambassadors.

The 9th steering committee meeting took place on 7 May 2016 in Istanbul. Topics were: re-election of chairs and members of the committee, preparation of the 19th ENETOSH network meeting in Prague and the analysis of of good practice examples, conducted by Wissensimpuls, the Institute for Work and Health of the DGUV, the Institute of Environmental Health at Seoul National University and the British Safety Council. In the scope of a workshop, the participants worked on a selection of examples to improve the further analysis.

The 8th steering committee meeting took place within the 10th anniversary of ENETOSH on 16 October 2015 in Bilbao. Topics were: A review of the 17th ENETOSH network meeting, financial planning, technical upgrade of the web platform, the analysis of Good Practice Examples and the action plan for 2016.

The 7th meeting of the Steering Committee took place in May 2015 in Obzor, Bulgaria. Main topics were the stategic framework 2.0 and the 10th anniversary of ENETOSH.

The 6th meeting of the ENETOSH Steering Committee was held on 27 and 28 November 2014 at the DGUV Academy Dresden, Germany.

12 members of the Steering Committee from Belgium/Sweden, Bulgaria, Germany, Latvia, Republic of Korea, Russian Federation, Spain, Turkey and UK participated in this meeting. Two new coordinators were elected during this meeting: Ljupcho Kochovski of the Foundation “Center for Safety & Health at Work” (FCBZR) in Sofia, Bulgaria, and Matthew Holder of the British Safety Council (BSC), UK. They will coordinate the work of the Steering Committee until the 10th anniversary of ENETOSH in October 2015.

During this meeting, the future strategy of ENETOSH was discussed, based on a SWOT analysis and on the results of a survey from the 16th ENETOSH Network Meeting that took place subsequent to the XX World Congress in Frankfurt. The SWOT analysis was carried out upon request of the International Labour Organization (ILO) within the scope of their new “Knowledge for Prevention Initiative” (KPI). The discussion led to a Strategic Framework paper that will be finalized by end of January 2015.

The 5th meeting of the ENETOSH Steering Committee took place on 4 May 2014 at Haliç Congress Center, Istanbul, Turkey. The Steering Committee promotes the activities of all ENETOSH members and takes a common responsibility for the future work of ENETOSH. It consists of 10 members from 9 countries.

On 17 April 2012 the members of the Steering Committee signed the articles of the Steering Committee on occasion of the ENETOSH SEE kickoff meeting in the Europe House Zagreb, Croatia. For a PDF version of the signed articles of the ENETOSH Steering Committee please click here.

The committee will meet together twice a year, normally connected to the regular ENETOSH network meetings.
