Safety and health at work depend on a successful integration of occupational safety and health into education and training. In this sense, this year’s European Week “Safe start” is dedicated to young workers, hereby pointing out the importance of an early introduction to safety and health at schools and facilities for vocational training for the timely prevention of accidents. The Leonardo da Vinci funded “European network education and training in occupational safety and health” (ENETOSH) collected since its establishment in October 2005 according to a holistic approach good practice examples for the integration on all levels, from Kindergarten through primary and secondary school, vocational training and academic study, to preparation for retirement.

According to the motto “ABC safety, health and more” the workshops were structured topically as follows: A for acoustics, B for be fit and C for chemistry and dangerous substances.
